We advocate for and advance the mineral resource and related industries in Utah. We represent and inform our members in the legislative and regulatory arenas at the local, state, and federal levels. We recognize that domestically sourced and produced minerals are the best way to ensure our raw materials are sources safely and responsibly, while providing family-sustaining employment for our fellow Utahans.

Education:

We educate elected officials, regulators, and the public on the importance of a strong Utah mining industry. Our public education efforts are successfully building greater understanding and public support for Utah’s mining and service-related industries. We emphasize that mining is crucial for modern life.

Workforce Development:

We are committed to aligning Utah’s education and training programs with current industry needs. This includes helping education and training institutions to adapt to the challenges of an ever-changing work environment with rapidly advancing technology.

Networking & Business Development:

We provide opportunities for businesses and individuals to network, socialize, and learn at various events including the Education Golf Tournament, Safety Awards, and Annual Convention. We also host Lunch-and-Learns virtually and in-person to keep our members apprised of industry trends and best practices.
